Frank James Washington was born April 5, 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Charlie Frank Washington and Lee Anner Washington. He was the second oldest of six children. Frank received his education at Jordan High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Frank accepted Christ at an early age, and worshiped at various churches. Frank served in the United States Navy.

Frank was introduced to Linda Louise Webb by her cousin, and on April 25, 1966, Frank and Linda were married. It was the most beautiful day of their lives. To this union three children were born: Frank James Washington Jr., Paul Henry Washington and Patrice Louise Washington. Frank and Linda were married for 53 years.

Frank loved working on cars so he became a mechanic. Along with fixing the engine, he also did the body work.

Frank was a loveable person who enjoyed singing, playing his bass and guitar. Frank enjoyed gymanistics and swimming, and working on trains and putting them together.

Frank was feisty and at the same time he stayed humble; he had a great sense of humor and he loved life and his family.

On September 30, 2016, Frank was called home. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: William Martin Sr., Lillie V. Martin, Larkin Washington and Tona Shells-Washington, his parents, Charlie Frank and Lee Anner Washington, his daughter, Patrice Louise Washington, two brothers, Anthony Washington and Milton Washington, four aunts: Willie Mae Adkins, Beatrice Lillie Meshack, Virginia Sanders and Blanche L.
