Ivy Virginia Ellis (we called her Nell) was born December 19, 1954 at 11:00am in Los Angeles Memorial Hospital to Rosie Lee Ellis (Granny) and Scott Ellis, Jr. (Daddy Scott). Ivy was one of 7 children, she had 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Patricia Ann Ellis-Spencer (deceased), Rosie Lee Ellis, Jr (deceased), Scott Ellis III who resides in Lancaster, CA, Ronald Lavert Ellis (deceased), Jacqueline Bevan Alexander who resides in Irvine, CA and Tyrone Keith Cooper, Sr. who resides in Lancaster, CA.

Ivy worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Compton Courthouse where she spent several years before moving on to United Health Plan as a Customer Service Representative and various other jobs. She loved hanging out with her daughters and family, she loved to cook with her special dishes of Beef Stroganoff, Spaghetti with black olives, Tacos, Wet Burritos with all the fixings, and Potato Salad.

Ivy will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing and loving her, she leaves two beautiful daughters, Shamica Shawnta Harris born on April 2, 1974, and Naeshia Rachell Reid-Dean born on August 5, 1975, a Son-in-Law Anthony Tyrone Dean and five grandchildren, Jazmine Nicole Gamble, Jashaun Tyrell Gamble, Jordan DaVaghn Brown, Qadir Anthony Dean and Zyair Emir Dean. Ivy also leaves to cherish the beautiful memories of her a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Great Nieces, Nephews, Great Nephews, Cousins, and friends.
