Frank Wilson was born May 11, 1942, in Houston, Texas. He was the sixth of seven children born to Thomas James Wilson Sr. and Mildred Evelyn Wilson. At the age of four, the Wilsonâs moved to Los Angeles, California, where Frank attended Twentieth Street Elementary school, John Adams Jr. High, and Jefferson High School. Additionally, he accepted Jesus Christ, at an early age, as his personal Lord and Savior and was baptized at Saint Turibuis Church of Los Angeles, California.

Frank grew up in Southern California on the east side of Los Angeles. He was raised in a loving and tight-knit family, of humble means where the family enjoyed entertaining, singing, and storytelling as their favorite pass time.â Due to his innate ability to tell stories and sing, it was evident that Frank would pursue a career in music.

As a teenager at the age of 16, he met the love of life, Benita Shehee, whom he later married and became a proud father of DaVida and Deric. In search of his dream during the sixties, he, along with two of his brothers and a friend, formed a vocal group called the \"Remarkables.\" The Remarkables recorded and performed in major cities and on television. Also, during this period, Frank and his brother Vance recorded three records under the label Frankie-Vance.

Through the years, with hard work, dedication, and love for his craft, Frank persevered to become a talented self-taught songwriter, lyricist, and melodic. Writing lyrics and melodies for his late great friend and artist Barry White. Collaborating on such songs as; \"You Turn My Whole Word Around, All Because of You, September When I First Met You, Look at Her, I Canât Leave You Alone,\" and more...

Frank was not only a lover of music; he had a great sense of humor, the jokester at family gatherings, a great storyteller with a passion for life. Frank managed to keep his beautiful spirit, sense of humor, laughter, and charisma through his illness. He was one of the most friendly, heartwarming, and helpful people one could ever know.

His parents, Thomas and Mildred Wilson, his son Deric and daughterDurgurete, one sister, and four brothers preceded him in death. He leaves to celebrate his home going, his spouse Benita, daughters: Davida and Rhonda Wilson; sister Virginia Sherman of Los Angeles, California, sisters-in-law: Beverly Wilson of Carson, Francis Wilson of Altadena, Silva Wilson of Texas and Mary Myers of Los Angeles, California; one brother-in-law, Calvin Patterson of Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren: Omar Skinner, John Boudreaux, Ahmad, Joel, Yvonne, Patricia, and Amber Johnson; three great-grandchildren, a host of special friends, cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives, and friends that Frank loved unconditionally.
