George Luis Hernandez, Jr., aka Georgie, was born on January 1, 1987, at Harbor UCLA in Torrance, California, to his Father George Luis Hernandez and Mother Tammy Diane Quiocho. Also raised by (Papi & Mommy) Grandfather Artemio Hernandez & Grandma Maria Perez Hernandez. His maternal grandparents are Danny Maurice Baca and Pamela Diane Quiocho. Georgie has six siblings: Monique Dena, Jesus Francisco, Raymundo, Daniel, Danny Cashimero, and Mark Anthony, Jr. Georgie was preceded in death by his Grandmother Maria Perez Hernandez, his uncles: Jaime Alvarez and Samuel Jorge Cruz Quiocho; and great-grandmother Bonifacia Montez Ponciano.

Georgie has lots of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly. During Georgie\'s younger years, he went to church and surrendered his life over to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. A memory we will always rejoice in,  knowing he made it right before the Lord.

Georgie attended Gardena High School in Gardena, California. He took pride in the City he grew up in and loved his family and friends to the fullest. He was a solid, strong warrior who always stood up for what he believed in, and his people knew that they could count on him no matter what. He definitely was a genuine friend you could trust and depend upon.

Georgie and his sweetheart Maria Ortiz met in 2003. Maria was driving down Gardena Boulevard when Georgie walked up to her car and asked her for her name and number. That\'s where the strong love and bond began many years ago. From this love came two beautiful children, their daughter Selena Julissa and son George Luis III.

His children were so happy to have the father they always dreamed of. Spending lots of time together, hanging out, and making great memories together as a family. Georgie was in the construction business; he was a cement worker for almost a year. He had high hopes of opening his own business one day. He\'d study for his Contractor\'s license every day, even after a long day\'s work. He also loved to have fun with his family and friends watching his favorite team, The Green Bay Packers. He loved movie nights, eating out, and spending lots of quality time with his family, whom he loved dearly.

Georgie\'s favorite quote was, \"That\'s how I get down.\" He had a beautiful smile that lit up the whole room when he walked in. You could see the sincere love he had for you through his beautiful eyes. Georgie was extremely grateful for the time he was able to spend with his family, and he knew that it was a blessing from the Lord. Georgie appeared on the outside as a Tough individual, however on the inside, he had a genuine, compassionate, kind, loving, and beautiful heart of gold. He will forever be missed. May he rest in Heavenly Peace.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter Selena Julissa Hernandez, son George Luis Hernandez III, fiance Maria Ortiz, his parents George Luis Hernandez and Tammy Diane Quiocho, grandparents: Artemio Hernandez, Maria Perez, Pamela Diane Quiocho and Danny Maurice Baca; siblings: Monique Hernandez, Danny Cashimero Quiocho, Jesus Francisco Hernandez, Raymundo Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, and Mark Anthony Macias, Jr. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
