Rebecca July was born on November 23, 1922, in Savannah, Georgia. She was born to Hattie and Alonzo Williams of Burroughs, Georgia.

On November 1, 1947, she married the love of her life, Russell July Jr., they shared their life together for 49 years. She was a housewife and mother who loved cooking, working in the yard, and her trips to Las Vegas. She enjoyed entertaining family, and when they would visit, she would say, \"when are you coming back again?\" with a smile.

God called her home to rest, awaiting her arrival was her parents, her husband Russell July Jr., son John Maine, daughter-in-law Virginia Maine, sister Mary \"Mamie\" Cuthbert and brother-in-law Richard Cuthbert Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Moses Maine Sr., grandchildren: Phelicia Maine, Rochelle Maine, and Moses (Katrina) Maine Jr.; great-grandchildren: Monisha Maine, Trinity Maine, Dalila Maine, and Keyonna Killingsworth. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
