Eragay Deloach, 82, of Los Angeles, California, transitioned to glory at her home with her family by her side on August 4, 2020.

Eragay Deloach, affectionately known as Erie, was born in Starkville, Mississippi, on September 19, 1937, the eighth child of ten siblings of parents, Lawrence and Maggie Dell McDowell, all of whom have preceded her in death. Erie received her education within the Starkville, Mississippi school district. In 1952 Erie married Alex Deloach, and to this union, three children were born, Charles Edward, James Edward (who also preceded her in death), and Diane.

In 1965 Erie came to Los Angeles, California, to visit her older sister and father and enjoyed her stay so much that she decided she liked California. After returning to Mississippi, she packed up her children and returned to Los Angeles in 1966. She then joined Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshipped until 1981. In 1981 she and her sister moved their membership to Unity Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful and dedicated member until she was no longer able to attend.

Erie dedicated her life to raising her family and worked tirelessly to provide for herself and care for other family members who needed assistance. She loved to love on people. She was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment spent with them. She especially loved her role as \"Grannall.\" She wasn\'t just Grannall to her grands; she was Grannall to everyone who knew her and loved her. Family was the pivotal essence of her life. She was proud and honored to be the matriarch, mother,  grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. She is survived by her loving daughter Diane, grandchildren: Marcus, Shawana, Angela, Kurtis, Charles Jr, Charles II, Shaon and Debra; seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, her beloved dog Cash, her many nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends. All who loved her dearly and will never forget her wit, charm, tenacity, grace, infectious smile, and undying love and caring for them.
