Janice Marie Scott Ware was born September 19, 1950, in Plaquemine, Louisiana, to Madison Scott and Verline Scott; she was the 6th of 9 children. Janice accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church in Plaquemine, LA.  

Janice attended and graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, CA. She later united with West Angeles Church of God In Christ in Los Angeles, under the pastorate of Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr. She was a member for 20 years.  

Janice worked at AT&T as a Service Representative for 30 years. She was a member of Pioneers of America and served as Pioneer President for 2 terms. Janice enjoyed baking, watching movies, and doing various crafts. She was lovable, kind and friendly. Janice possessed a good sense of humor and could be feisty at times, she was helpful to others, very giving and had a strong spirit.

Those who preceded her in death were her father Madison Scott, mother Verline Scott, brothers Madison Scott Jr. and Vernon Scott, sisters Ollie Mae Rankins and Willie Mae Lee.  

She leaves to cherish her memories, her sister Brenda Scott, brothers: Joseph Scott, Kenneth Scott, and Ronald Scott, an uncle Elmore Jackson, special friends Lisa Thomas Ramirez, Anita Thomas, Evangeline Sanders, and Florence Hagenbaugh. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
