Lenora Hill was born in Falcon, Arkansas on April 17, 1923, to the union of William and Manerva (Gipson) Hill. Lenora was the 4th child out of 9 children born to William and Manerva. There were four boys and five girls born in the family.

The family moved from Falcon to Texarkana, Arkansas; where Lenora grew-up and attended \"Hardy School\" in Texarkana. Lee (as she was also known as) completed approximately ten years of schooling. Lenora grew-up attending a Christian church during her adolescence and teenage years, and became a believer in Jesus Christ. Her mother read the bible to her and the family, and that\'s why she knew about God and accepted \"Jesus Christ,\" the Son of God as her Lord and Savior.

Lenora left home and struck out on her own at age 17 to begin her independent life. She eventually moved to Stockton, California in the early 1940\'s. After a few years she relocated to Los Angeles, where she met her husband, Arthur Washington Sr., who was also known as \"Wash.\" He was introduced to her by her oldest brother, Odis Hill. They were married and four children were born to that union. Lenora was a devout believer and became a member of \"Revival Center Church of God in Christ\" at 76th and San Pedro St. in Los Angeles, California under the leadership of Bishop J.D. Smith in the late 1950\'s and earlier 1960\'s. She took her children by herself to church, even when Wash didn\'t attend. However, in 1961 she led Wash to Christ. As a result all her family came to know God and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! Bishop Smith and the congregation subsequently moved to \"Revival Center Triedstone Church of God in Christ\" at 114th and Wilmington in Los Angeles, California. Subsequent to Bishop Smith, Lenora and Wash went under the shepherd-ship of Pastor J.W. Mayfield at Triedstone, where they were members for 25 years plus.

Lenora worked for Philco-Ford for several years, and later started working for Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California as an inspector on swing shift, where she retired in 1988 after 20 plus years. Lee loved God and was a loving mother and devoted wife. She put her children before herself. Lenora was a strong will person, both in mind and body. And when she got something in her mind that she thought was correct, there was no way to change it. Lee lived to be 96 years old, and God called her home on February 19, 2020 at 9:15 pm two months prior to her 97th birthday. Lenora leaves to cherish her legacy, love, and life’s memories: one daughter, Erma Jean Washington Smith; three sons: Arthur (Georgia) Washington Jr., Leroy (Delores) Washington, Lawrence Edward (Cynthia) Washington; one sister, Mable Atkins of Texarkana, Arkansas; one extra very special friend Dorothy Collins of Los Angeles, California; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; six step-grandchildren; and a host of other caring
relatives, neighbors and friends.

Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, William and Manerva Hill; her loving husband, Arthur Washington Sr.; her grandson, Gary Lynell Link; four brothers: Odis, Ezekiel, Sylvester, and William Jr. Hill; and three sisters: Elnora Gaines, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Houston, and Della Woods. Mom, your memories will be always and forever imprinted in the hearts of your family, and we will all one day be reunited in Heaven with God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior – Amen!
