Allan Ladd Ferris Sr. was born on May 4, 1951, in San Angelo, Texas to Elmo and Christine Ferris. Allan was the sixth child of ten siblings. In 1957 the family moved to Los Angeles, California.

He accepted Christ at an early age while attended First Church of God in Christ. He attended 52nd Street School, Angeles Mesa Elementary School, Mount Vernon Jr. High, and Los Angeles High School.

Allan proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army from June 1971 to October 1973. Allan was informally trained as a Surgical Nurse. He later attended Los Angeles Trade TechnicalCollege, receiving his L.V.N. Certificate. He started his career at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Westwood, California, where he provided thirty years of service.

Allan met and married Cornelius (Dale) Allen in 1977. To this union, there were three children: Kecia, Christine, and Allan Jr. After the passing of his wife, he raised his children with the assistance of his parents and family. He also helped raise his great-nephew Michael Steward Jr.

While attending Church at Crusade Christian Faith Center in Inglewood, CA, Allan met and married Patricia Williams on October 6, 2016. With this union, he inherited four daughters: Shaniece, Aujounette, Terrie, Tara; a grandson Kyro, a son-in-law Fo Fo, and a mother-in-law Betty.

Allan was a generous, kind-hearted person totally dedicated to his family. Allan loved his family and showered them with love. He had a great love for food and life. He enjoyed music to the utmost. He loved going to the beach, park, and movies.

Allan L. Ferris Sr. departed this life on June 10, 2019. He now joins those who preceded him in death, including his parents Elmo and Christine, brother Robert, sisters: Frances, Alma, Sue, and Karen; and his son Allan Jr.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, his wife of four years Patricia, six daughters: Kecia, Christine, Shaniece, Aujounette, Terrie, Tara; three granddaughters: Jada, Janyece, Leemaj; grandson Jarvis, two great-grandchildren: Jourdan, and Jarvis Jr., two brothers: Mitchell (Deborah), and Bobby, (Gladys); two sisters: Jeannie, and Gretta; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
