Archerine Greene was born on September 4, 1925, in Tyler, Texas to Archie and Essie Thomas. Archerine was the 5th of nine children born to this union.

Archerine received her education at Emmett Scott High School in Tyler, Texas and went on to East Los College in Los Angeles where she received a Degree for registered nursing.

Archerine accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at St. Mary\'s in Tyler, Texas. Later on in life, she moved to Los Angeles California where she joined Mount Gilead Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend E.C. Johnson and was a current member under Pastor William Monroe Campbell II.

Archerine was a lovable, kind, and friendly person. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

On May 14, 2019, Archerine was called home. Those who preceded her were sisters: Mercedes Neal, Ouida Brown, Mavis Culpepper, Evelyn Strathan, and Angus Thomas; brother Elihue Thomas, and partner Dembigh.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Essie L. Payton, and Annie Jean Gober, and a godson, Leroy Thompson. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
