Andrew Brown was born on September 26, 1937 in Beard Fork, West Virginia to Jesse Lee and Stella Mae Brown. He was called home on April 5, 2019 at the age of 81.

Andrew was born the first of six children, including Arthur, Eddie, Olivia, Nate, and Lily Mae. He graduated from Garnet High School in Charleston, West Virginia in 1954, and attended college in Tennessee. Andrew later came back home to attend barber college. He owned and operated a famous place called Handy Andy\'s Barber Shop in Charleston, West Virginia for several years. In 1968, Andrew moved to Compton, CA. He worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation for thirty years and retired on August 30, 2000.

Andrew was baptized on March 28, 1993. He was a member of Love and Unity Christian Fellowship for 27 years, where he also served as a deacon for 17 years. He loved the Lord and reading the bible.

Andy, as he was affectionately called, was a charismatic, friendly, familyoriented man who could talk to anyone. He enjoyed his lifelong hobbies of photography, fishing and ping pong.

Andrew was preceded in death by his brother, Nate Brown, sister, Olivia Brown, and son, Andrew LaRosa Brown, Jr.

He is survived by Mary Brown, his loving wife of 38 years, his children from his first marriage, Antonio Lee Brown, Sr. and Maureen Brown, Anitra Carson, and Arthur and Alisa Brown. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Terri Johnson, and DeAngela Johnson. Andrew leaves a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, who will all miss him dearly.
