LaVette Marrow was 49 years old when she passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019. She was born in Hawthorne, California to Oquein Marrow (deceased) and Carol Marrow.

La Vette attended Cimarron Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA, Orville Wright Middle School in Westchester, CA and graduated from Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, CA.

After high school, La Vette started working at Kaiser Permanente Hospital and remained there for 32 years until her death in 2019.

Growing up she attended Faith Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Pendell Alexander and Pastor Oquein Marrow, her dad. She participated in Sunday School, youth choir and other church activities. Her adult life she returned to Gaith Church under the leadership of Pastor Selba Bailey who was her current pastor.

La Vette\'s life was full of love, laughter, and happiness. She never had children but loved and cherished her nieces, nephews, cousins, godson Matthew, and other friends\' children.

She is preceded in death by her father Oquein Morrow, brother Ather Malone III, uncles: Clarence James, Randford Williams, and C.K. Marrow Jr.; nephew Joshua Roberson, niece Brittneeh Williams, grandmother Crysteline S. James, and grandfather C.K. Marrow Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, mother Carol Morrow, sister Crysteline Malone, nieces Alexis and Sade Williams, aunts: Louise Williams, Patricia J. Matthews, Ardella Marrow, Cynthia Hyacinth, and Jeanie James; uncles: Johnny E. James Jr., and Drew Morrow, cousins: Jovan Matthews, Karen James, Lisa Gray, and Johnny E. James III; great-nieces: Jayla Charles, Anya Winstead, Kassidi Mitchell, and Aniyah Malone; great-nephew Jayden Winstead, great-cousins Elijah James, and Demarco Grays, and a host of loving relatives. She also leaves special friends Chetera Daniels, and Rasheeda McCormick, godson Matthew Avalos, friends, and co-workers.
