ulia Alice Linthicum was born on September 1, 1926, in Jacksonville, Texas to Oscar Charles and Amy Hightower. She was the first child born to this union.

She received her formal education in Texas and graduated from Fred Douglas High School in 1946. Julia met and married her childhood sweetheart, Robert L. Linthicum and to this union, they were blessed with their only daughter Faye.

Julia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She joined Good Will Baptist Church in Jacksonville, where she remained until moving to California in 1955. She later joined and became a faithful member of Holy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Compton.

Julia was employed with Hygiene Industries from 1957 to 1988. She retired on September 30, 1988.

Julia, affectionately known as âGigiâ was caring, loving, strong, intelligent, helpful, and everything good you can think of about a woman. Her things she worked so hard to get made her happy. She shared her joy with those she loved. Julia treated her friends like family and always loved her family.

Gigi always showed us how to be strong and hold on. Although she was a strong fighter, God called her home on February 1, 2019. Julia\'s family members that preceded her in death were her father, mother, brothers, and husband Robert L. Linthicum.

Julia leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Faye Martin, one son-in-law Isaac Martin, one grandson Kevin Martin Sr. and wife Cynthia Martin, granddaughter Dena Louissaint, and husband Fanes Louissaint, five great-grandchildren: Johnathan, Shakiyla, Kevin Jr., Brianna, and Bri-Jae; four great-great-grandchildren: Samia, Maxwell, Camilla, and Sebastian. She also leaves her good friend Roy and a host of other friends.

Gigi, you were a bright light in the lives you touched, and new we release you with love.
