Calvin LaSalle Cox was born in Los Angeles, California on February 18, 1959, to Arthur and Lucille Cox. Calvin was the first born of four children, being the oldest and only son. Calvin graduated from Washington High School where he lettered in Track-and-Field. Calvin also went to the State finals for Pole Vaulting.

In 1976 Calvin went to Los Angeles Trade Technical College, and through much education and certifications, Calvin became a Computer Design Engineer working in that field for over 40 years.

Calvin enjoyed family gatherings where he played cards, dominoes, and loved music. Calvin is most known for his love of cars and motorcycles. He took great pride in his toys and entered them in various competitions around the City where he often won for best bike. Calvin also was known for being stylish was always dressed âTo a Tâ coordinating his clothes from head to toe. Calvin had a great sense of humor, was helpful to others and was very giving.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Lee Cox and Lucille Cox.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons Marshean Cox, and Antoine Gregory, sisters: Vatrenia Cox, Jania Cox, and Arthelea Cox; grandchildren: Shani Cox, Andrea Lopez, and Marlie Cox; nieces and nephews: Christopher Mason, Ronald Mehtonen II, Adoni Netter, and Tyler Mehtonen; an aunt Ollie Mae, and a host of relatives and friends.
