Andrew Aaron Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 6, 1932. He was the second of four sons born to Andrew Aaron Sr. and Naomi Fields-Aaron. Andrew grew up surrounded by close relatives and was affectionately known as June. However, as Andrew grew up and extended his circle, he acquired several names; he answered to Fuji, Uncle Aaron, and Andy. Later in life, Andrew was also known as Dad and Grandpa.

Andrew attended several schools in New Orleans. At an early age, Andrew enlisted in the military and spent two tours of duty. Andrew\'s first tour took him to Japan where he climbed Mt. Fuji. This is how he got the name Fuji. During his second tour, he participated in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.

While enlisted in the Army Andrew became friends with a fellow New Orlesian, Fallon Bush. When he returned home, he visited his military buddy. He met Fallon\'s sister Geraldine Bush who instantly became the love of his life. The two were married on November 2, 1952. This union produced three daughters. After his second tour, Andrew joined his extended family and moved to Los Angeles.

Andrew worked briefly for the U. S. Post Office while attending LA City College and Woodbury University. Andrew was never satisfied with ordinary and rejoined the US Army as a Reservist in the late 60\'s as an E5 and quickly became a Captain and after a long career retired as a Major.

Shortly after receiving his B.S. in Accounting Andrew became a US Customs Agent and his career extended for 25 years. After leaving Customs, he started a second career with the U.S. Marshall\'s Office.

Andrew was a noted traveler and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with his family and friends. He also enjoyed sports, playing cards, music, dancing, dart ball, and family gatherings. Andrew loved to stay busy and involved himself. He participated in several social organizations; he was a member of the Gardena Second Time Around Senior\'s Club, and the 9th and 10th Calvary Association - Buffalo Soldiers. Andrew became president of each of these social organizations. Andrew was a forty-year member of the Olivet Lutheran Church where he sang in the church choir. At Olivet, he served as Deacon and Trustee.

Andrew quietly slept away on Thursday, January 17, 2019, after a two-month battle with complications associated with the recovery from two broken ankles. He leaves to mourn his loving, attentive wife of 66 years Geraldine, three daughters: Stephenia AaronMotton, Varnessa Aaron-Seymour (husband Clifford Seymour), Andrette Aaron-Harlin (husband Leonard Harlin); three grandsons: Kyron Andrew Motton, Andrew Aaron Harlin, Matthew Theodore Seymour; a granddaughter-in-law Lisa Motton, two great-granddaughters: Indiel and Imilee Motton; brother Leonard Aaron, sister Ellamae Brown, two sisters-in-law: Jessie Mae Barkins, and Cleothia Bush; and one brother-in-law Sterling Bush, one aunt Inez Fields, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
