Cecil Beloney was born December 17, 1930, in Gueydan, Louisiana to Emile Beloney and Georgia Beloney; he was the ninth of fourteen children. Cecil accepted Christ at an early age and became a Baptist.

Cecil attended Gueydan Elementary School and Abbeville High School. He enjoyed playing baseball and shooting marbles.

Cecil joined the United States Army on August 1, 1950, and was honorably discharged on April 28, 1955. He achieved the Rank of Sergeant and received a Silver Star Award. Cecil served during wartime and was in the 159th Artillery.

Cecil met and married Bobbie, and they shared 35 years of marriage. No children were born to this union; but Cecil loved all his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews as if they were his own. Cecil was big on family; he loved them dearly, Cecil had an extra big heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends.

Cecil was employed by Los Angeles County for 40 years, as a Mechanical Engineer, he also became a Licensed Realtor. Cecil enjoyed watching TV, cooking, reading, playing the Lottery and buying scratchers.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents: Georgia Beloney and Emile Beloney; wife Bobbie Beloney, brothers: Robert Williams, James Beloney, Ivory Beloney, Charles Beloney, and Earnest Beloney; sisters: Daisy Williams Taylor, Hazel Scott LaPoint, Mary Beloney Bolden, and Elizabeth Beloney.

Those left to cherish his memories are siblings: Hilda (Joseph) Wilson, Leslie (Hazel) Beloney, Percy (Yvonne) Beloney, and Earline Mayfield; a devoted niece Nadine Wilson, and host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
