John Williams was born on December 20, 1956, In Torrance, California to John & Elease Williams. He was the fifth child of eight children. He attended Wilmington Park Elementary School. He also attended Roosevelt Jr. High School and graduated from Dominguez High School in Compton, California where he then proceeded to The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

John had a spirited-positive and joyful personality as a child he was very âOutgoingâ and âWildâ as his older sisters would say. He was very intelligent; he won mathematic championships in school. He knew the balance between school, work, and fun. He enjoyed going out with his friends and brothers to social events. John was very popular; he could talk to anyone and could enjoy himself no matter where he went. John always looked to build people\'s self-esteem. He was a consistent caregiver; if you had the initiative to try, he would ensure he would help you as much as he could. He loved watching wrestling, action movies, soap operas and drama series especially the show âPowerâ on Starz. Sports was his most favorable; He enjoyed talking trash and debating with his family, friends, nephews, and nieces. John loved sports. He played basketball in high school and was a die-hard Laker fan. He enjoyed being a comedian laughing and telling jokes. He thoroughly enjoyed talking with the ladies and was a natural flirt and a charmer.

John worked for Long Beach Unified School District for 20 years and recently retired in June of 2018. He truly loved all of his Minnie Gant Family.  He was an adoptive member of Anchor Community Church of Long Beach where he looked over and enjoyed their services.

John loved his family, his mother Elease as well as his brothers and sisters. They were all exceptionally close to him, especially Dennis. They were inseparable and were each other\'s right-hand man; his brother Dennis was also his best friend. John was strong-willed, and his strength was impeccable and wise beyond his years. He never complained but always chose rather to encourage and motivate others. His sickness may have slowed him down physically, but mentally he had a strong will to live even to the very end. On November 4, 2018, John departed his earthly home to be with the Lord. He left to party with his best friend and brothers on Dennis\'s birthday. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving Mother, Elease Williams, his Sisters; Linda Browning-Wright, Deborah Fenter-Dahl, Cheryl Williams, and Michelle Williams-Hughes. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

His Father John Williams Sr. and brothers: Billy Fenter, Robert Browning, and Dennis Williams preceded him in death. We Love and Miss You John!
