Solomon Truett Bell, Jr. was born on December 6, 1941, in Emerson, Arkansas. He was the only son of Baby Ruth Reed and Solomon Truett Bell, Sr. At an early age, he confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. When he was 6 years of age, his mother passed, and he was sent to live with his loving grandparents, Isadora Hendricks, and Benjamin Franklin Bell. He was the oldest grandson of Joe Lee Doss and Onzelow âSonâ Reed.

S.T. (as he was affectionately called) attended Walker High School in Magnolia (Columbia County), Arkansas. In 1960, he graduated and joined his father in Los Angeles, California. In 1967 he was drafted and served a term in the United States Army.

Upon his return to Los Angeles, he joined employment ranks of the Los Angeles Unified School District where he served as Plant Manager to its elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. Due to his outstanding service and commitment, he was later promoted to its Maintenance and Operations Division where he served as District Supervisor for its Air Conditioning and Heating division. He remained in that assignment until retirement.

Solomon was the proud father of Damone Bell. After retiring S.T. spent time with his close friends. Frequently planning fishing and hunting trips and working on his car collection. His greatest joy was planning his yearly parties, where he would sit and watch friends and family have fun.

He was a humanitarian. Frequently helping friends and family members who were in need of assistance or shelter. His doors were always open. During the years 2017-2018, he began to experience some health challenges. He did this in his own quiet way. God called him home on October 17, 2018. May he rest in peace.

Solomon was preceded in death by his parents Baby Ruth Reed and Solomon Truett Bell, Sr., and only son Damone Trevon Bell.

Solomon will be clearly missed by his only remaining aunt Dr. Anna Ruth Reed-McLinn of Los Angeles, CA; cousins David Edward McLinn, Esquire (Allie) and Maxwell; Tiffany Marie McLinn all of Los Angeles; Patricia (Reed) Lower, Maggie Lower, Ryah, Fire, Skylar, Akila Lower of Honolulu Hawaii; Sylvia (Reed) Curran, United States Diplomat to Turkmenistan (Consul General), James Cory (\"James the Mormon\") Reed Curran, Entertainer, Provo, Utah, Matthew Reed Curran, Esquire of Detroit, Michigan; Mary L Bell Corbin of Phoenix, Arizona, Vicky Bell Corbin of Phoenix Arizona, Vesta Bell McClendon, Wiley Bell Buffington, Peggy Lindsey, Elanor Lindsey, Georgie Fields, Cecelia Frankin, Wilma Handy, Romonia Woods all of Los Angeles and Bonnie Thomas of Baton Rouge, LA.
