Annie B. Rhodes was born April 19, 1923, in Greensboro, AL to George Benison and Catherine Cabbil-Benison, she was the third of thirteen children.

Annie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She was a member of Praises of Zion MBC for seven years under the leadership of Reverend Harwick.

Annie was the mother of Nancy, George, and Oadell. She met and married Morris Rhodes and to their union five children born: Shirley, Lucy, Shelley, Helen, and Essie.

Annie was a housewife who enjoyed taking care of her family, gardening, and cooking. She was loving, kind, and considerate. Annie was a supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She always kept the family close. After the loss of her husband Annie lived with or stayed near Lucy and Helen.

Annie has gone to be with her Heavenly Father, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and several of her siblings; her husband, Morris Rhodes, and daughter, Oradell Ward.

Annie leaves to cherish her memories her children: Nancy Barrett, George Ward, Shirley Rhodes, Lucy Rhodes-Cook, and Helen Rhodes, siblings: Daisy Benson, and Mary Benison, grandchildren: Charles Rutherford, Cynthia Rhodes and siblings, Craig Sapp, Michael Sapp, Brittany Williams and Ashley Broussard; two greatgrandchildren: Michael Sapp, and Julissa Sapp. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
