Solomon Clyde Le Flore Jr. was born January 6, 1948, in Los Angeles, CA to Solomon Le Flore Sr., and Pearl Le Flore, both preceded him in death. As a child, they instilled in him the spirit of God; Solomon received Christ at an early age. He was baptized by the late Pastor John L. Branham at St. Paul Baptist Church. His family and friends affectionately knew him as âButch.\"

Solomon loved music and played the piano at several church services. He was a proud big brother. He took pride in protecting both Patricia, who preceded him in death, and Sandrea.

He attended Normandie Avenue Elementary School, Foshay Jr. High and Manuel Arts High Schools in Los Angeles. Solomon was very talented and made his family very proud. While at Foshay, he played piano in the Orchestra and in high school; he was on the gymnastics team, winning several awards and the city championship. He then went on to continue his education at Los Angeles City College and California State University, Los Angeles majoring in Sociology. He graduated college and went on to work at the Foods Market, followed by Security Pacific Bank. He had a taste for entrepreneurship and went on to own several businesses, including a chain of liquor stores and laundry mats.

Solomon united with Guadalupe âLupeâ Rey and from that union, two beautiful children were born, Monique and Darnell. Later on in life, to a second union, he was blessed with three more children, Solomon III, David, and Daniel Le Flore. More than his businesses, Solomon loved being a father. He loved his children and enjoyed spending his time with them. His favorite past times included collecting classic cars, traveling, and gambling.

Solomon was diagnosed with Diabetes and Prostate Cancer but continued to enjoy his life and all that it had to offer. He never gave up faith in God and his love of music. He loved James Brown, Jeopardy, and Family Feud. His work on Earth was completed June 29, 2018.

Solomon leaves to celebrate his wonderful life, his daughter, Monique (husband Calvin) Green; sons: Darnell, Solomon III, David, and Daniel Le Flore; sister, Sandrea (husband Edmond) Bell; grandchildren: Lanique Green, Calvin Green Jr., and Dari\'el Le Flore; nieces: Patricia, LaToya, O\'Neill, Dominique, and D\'Andrea; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, and friends.
