Vernelle Ann Manning was born September 26, 1955, in Wichita, Kansas to the parents of Willie Sr. and Florine Biddle. Vernelle was the third child of four.

Vernelle received her education in the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she graduated from Centennial High School. Growing up Vernelle was a member of the Girl Scouts of America.

Vernelle met the love of her life, Leroy Jones Jr. and they were truly in love. Vernelle was employed by Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital for over 25 years as a Custodian and Secretary.

Vernelle was an outstanding person, she loved family gatherings, and watching TV shows; her favorite shows were The Maury Show and Jerry Springer. She was lovable, kind-hearted and she enjoyed dancing, parties and she loved to cook.

Those who preceded her in death were her mother, Florine Biddle, father Willie Biddle Sr., niece Zonia Biddle, and fiancÃ© Leroy Jones Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Audrey Smith, and Ella Faye Jones, brother, Willie Biddle Jr. (Pamela), stepchildren: Leroyia Jones, Lanancia Jones, and Latasha Jones; her best friend, Tootie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
