Robert Lee King was born September 14, 1942, in Rayville, Louisiana to the parents of Herbert King and Elouise Williams; Robert had two siblings, Todd and Candice.

Robert was educated in the Los Angeles Unified School District, graduating from Fremont High School. He furthered his education attending The University of San Diego, California.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age, and as a young man attended Church with his family every Sunday.

Robert met Salaier Tyiska, they united in Holy Matrimony. Robert had a son, Kevin from a previous relationship. Robert and Salaier had three children: Sheila, Tony and Rodrick. This relationship lasted 5 years. Later he met Delores Jean Wallace and her daughter Janice. Robert and Delores were married and to this union two more children were born, Zeia and Dion.

Robert worked for at the Long Beach Navel Shipyard for 27 years and for Kaiser Permanente for 10 years; he retired from both jobs.

Robert was a big sports fan, he enjoyed family gatherings, he had a love for music and he loved to entertain, he would have BBQâs and fish fries. Robert was the life of the party. He was a member of a social club, by the name of âThe Expos,â they were entertainers, and would often sing at various events.

Robert was an awesome man, he was lovable, kind and friendly. Robert was very caring and he was a straight shooter, he didnât bite his tongue, he would tell you just what was on his mind. One of his favorite sayings was âGet Ta Steppin.â

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Elouise Williams, and grandson Reginal King.

Those left to cherish his memories are sons: Ro drick (Valerie Nelson) King, Tony King, Kevin King, Dion King; daughters: Sheila King (Tommy) Dexter, Zeia King, and stepdaughter, Janice Wallace; father, Herbert King, brother, Todd King, sister, Candice King, ex-wives, Salaier King and Delores Jean Wallace, grandchildren: Jaymon Sanders, Jamel Sanders, James Sander, Creshona Cannon, Tomanika Dexter, Keith King, Chris King, Ravon King, Kamura King, Zamia Peters, Zachary Kelly, Duan Wilson, and Harlem King; and a very special friend, Debra Dotson. He also leaves a host of greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
