In Loving Memory of Claudia Grant

March 4, 1943 - March 19, 2021

Claudia Grant was born on March 4, 1943, in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, to Ernest Duplessis and Virginia Duplessis; she was the 5th of 6 children born to this union.

Claudia received her education in Louisiana, attending Phoenix High School in Braithwaite.

Claudia accepted Christ early and was baptized in June of 1954, by Pastor Royal Thomas in Louisiana. Claudia met Abraham Gregg in 1992; it was love at first sight; they were married on April 17, 1993. Although there were no children born to this union, Claudia brought her children Valda, Hilda, Pollard, and Christopher to the marriage.

Claudia worked as a custodian for several years. She loved watching game shows, cooking, gardening, and doing home improvement projects. Strangers fell in love with her instantly, she was hilarious and loved talking mess. It was everyone's favorite thing about her. She was also a very caring and loving person.

Those who preceded Claudia in death were her husband Abraham Gregg, her parents Virginia Duplessis and Ernest Duplessis, and a brother Ernest Duplessis.

She leaves to cherish her memories children: Valda Duplessis, Hilda Sims, Pollard Sims, and Christopher Sims; her siblings; Viola Divens, Antione Duplessis, Eugene Duplessis and Lois Soloman; her 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
