In Loving Memory of Antoinette Buchanan

May 13, 1956 - March 5, 2020

Antoinette Buchanan was born on May 13, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, to Bennie Ted Galtney and Alma Galtney; Antoinette was the 2nd of 8 children. Antoinette accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized.

Antoinette attended and graduated from Compton High School.

In 1992 Antoinette married Howard Buchanan; no children were born to this union. However, Antoinette had a son Maurice from a previous relationship.

Antoinette worked for FedEx Freight for 34 years. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and bowling. She was a very loving person with a good sense of humor. Antoinette was shy, but she would loosen up once she got to know you.

Those who preceded her in death were husband, Howard Buchanan, mother, Alma Galtney, father, Bennie Galtney, brothers: Marvin Galtney, and Melvin Galtney.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son Maurice Morris and daughter-in-law Shaneka Morris, her fur baby Moses, siblings: Marilyn (Norwood) Alderman, Andrea (Sherman) Williams, Michael Galtney, Terri Galtney, and DeJohnette Galtney; grandchildren: Donavin, Devin, Brooklyn, and Derek. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
