Alex Dornell Green, the oldest child to his beloved parents, was born
on April 14, 1983,
in Los Angeles, California. Alex spent his childhood growing up in Los
Angeles with his
mother Linda, grandfather Jimmy Ray, younger brother Jovanie, and a
number of aunts,
uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Alex excelled in school and graduated from Jon Francis Polytechnic High School in 2001. He ultimately was accepted to Boise State University in Boise, ID and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in History. After graduating, Alex chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he was stationed in both domestic and international destinations, including Afghanistan and Japan. His hard work and determination to succeed allowed him to rise to the rank of Captain.
Throughout Alex‚s life, he would always leave his mark wherever he went and touched the lives of so many people. Those who knew Alex understood how much he loved to argue, debate, listen to Tupac on repeat, watch and play football, crack jokes, and spend time with his loved ones. His absence will impact so many.
Over the last year, Alex fought a fight tougher than any he had encountered before. True to Alex's spirit, he chose to tackle this fight head-on. He fought until the very end, and on January 2, 2020, God removed all of Alex's worldly obstacles and called him home. He has joined his grandfather Jimmy Ray, grandmother Lillian, and cousins Michael and Travon.
Alex leaves to honor and cherish his memories with his Mother Linda Ruth, brother Jovanie, sisters Qnique and Tatiana, William Davis, Cornell Green, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
