Curtiss Brown was born March 20, 1932, in Thomasville, Georgia.
Curtiss was adopted by the Herbert Jenkins Family.
Curtis joined the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country for four years. Curtiss received the rankings GMSN, USN, USAF, and served in the Korean War. He also received the Korean Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Curtiss met Lillie Naomi Smith in the neighborhood; she was on her way from school, they dated, fell in love, and were united in Holy Matrimony. To this union Berneitta, Vernice Azella, Pamela, and Jennifer were born; they also adopted a son Gregory. Noami brought Cornelius Eugene, Albert, and Delayne to the relationship. Curtiss and Naomi shared 36 years of marriage.
Curtiss worked for the City of Los Angeles as a Custodian for over 20 years. He was a very good cook; he enjoyed reading the newspaper, singing, and dancing. Curtis was a person who loved his family, especially his wife. He was a clean and modest person with an outgoing personality. He loved his friends, and his friends loved him; they affectionately called him "Bruh Brown."
Curtiss was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lillie Naomi Brown, grandson Albert Woods III, and stepson Cornelius Eugene Sanderlin.
Those left to cherish his memories are daughters: Berneitta Brown, Vernice A. Brown, Pamela Brown, and Jennifer Brown (Randy) McCullough; son Gregory Brown, and stepchildren Albert Woods Jr., and Delayne Salmon. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and friends.
