In Loving Memory of Hattie Mae Kelly

September 13, 1946 - August 31, 2019

Hattie Mae Kelly was born on September 13, 1946, in Minter City, Mississippi to Jack Williams and Beatrice Williams; she was the oldest of 14 children.

Hattie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. Hattie was a member of Little Baptist Church.

Hattie met Mack Kelly, at the shipyard in the state of Mississippi. They eventually married and had a house wedding with close family present. Soon after that, Hattie and Mack moved to Compton, California with their two daughters Shirley and Mary.

Hattie worked at the Shipyard in the maintenance department for 9 years. She was a lovable and amazing mother and grandmother. Hattie loved giving to those in need. She enjoyed cooking for her family, going to the Casinos, and most of all, she enjoyed life. You could never have a conversation with her without hearing her say "Alright Now" and "Right."

Hattie was preceded in death by her parents Jack Williams and Beatrice Williams, her sisters: Susie Estes, and Louise Jackson; brothers: John Williams, Carl Willims, RJ Williams, and James Williams.

Those left to cherish her memories are husband Mack Kelly, children: Shirley Woods, and Mary Candler; sons-in-law: Sam Davis, and Caleb Candler, siblings: Buster Williams Jr., Nolan Williams, Jessie B. Williams, Willie Lee Williams, Rosie Lee Green, Beatrice Eaton, and Vera McNoir; grandchildren: Shamika, Donte, Lenai, DeShawn, Jasmine and Lil Byron "Man," Trey, Kenesha, Davon, Cayla, and Sam; 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She will truly be missed by all.
