In Loving Memory of Sheryl Marie Blackburn

February 11, 1954 - February 25, 2019

Sheryl Marie Blackburn was born February 12, 1954, in Los Angeles, California to Paul Blackburn and Ernesta Willard. Sheryl was the first of six children.  Growing up Sheryl was a member of  The Girl Scouts. She also loved caring for her siblings.

Sheryl graduated from Jordan High School, and further her education by attending Southwest College.

Sheryl accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in 1992. She united with Bethel Baptist Church and was a member for 4 years under the leadership of Pastor Reginald Pope.

Sheryl met and married Thomas Earl Lee, to this union a daughter was born, Deshawa Lee.

Sheryl's profession was as a Nurse, but she decided to retire and became a Foster Parent for over 25 years.

Sheryl was kind, friendly, humble and was always willing to help others. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings; she especially enjoyed spoiling her only grandson, Tyler. Sheryl loved to shop and go to the Casinos.

Sheryl was called home February 25, 2019, to be with the Lord and those who preceded her in death. She joins her mother Ernesta L. Sutton, father Paul Blackburn, brother Leonard J. Sutton, sister Dandra L. Sutton, niece Shawnika Woolridge, and nephew Mezhan Cenance.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter Dashawna Lee, stepfather Leonard Sutton, siblings: Joy Willard, Marilyn Sutton, and Lashawna Ortega; grandchild Tyler Elijah Davis, an aunt Louise Pearson, and special friend Collette Burnett. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
