In Loving Memory of Kelvin E. Harrell

August 12, 1961 - January 27, 2019

Kelvin Emile Harrell was born on August 12, 1961, to Annie Mary Hollins and Willie Charles Harrell in Birmingham, Alabama. He as the first of three siblings. Kelvin accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John AME.

Kelvin graduated from A.H. Parker High School in Birmingham, AL and graduated in 1979. He was a saxophonist in the Parker High Thundering Herd Marching Band.

He came to Los Angeles, CA along with his mother in 1986; soon after arriving he started working at Pacific Bell Phone Company (now AT&T). He worked for AT&T for over 25 years. He united with Abundant Living Family Church and was a member for 20 years. While working at AT&T, he earned a B. S. Degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands in Redlands, CA. Kelvin met and married Vickie Brown, to this
union a daughter was born. Kelvin recently married Melody Nicholson.

Kelvin was a wonderful, soft-spoken man who always had words of advice to share and always came bearing gifts. Some of his favorite pastimes were gardening and watching Star Trek. 

Kelvin was preceded in death by Mother Annie Mary Hollins, father Willie Charles Harrell, grandparents Jim and Mary Hollins, and ex-wife Vickie Brown-Harrell Those left to cherish his memories are wife  Melody Harrell, daughter Jasmine Harvel, siblings Benjamin Harrell and Erica Harrell, aunts and uncles: Bobby and Josephine Hollins, Jim and Shirley Hollins, John and Hazel Hollins. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
