In Loving Memory of Janice Maxwell

August 28, 1942 - December 17, 2018

Janice Maxwell was born on August 28, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the blessed union of Helen Chris and Hayward Liggins Jr. Janice was nine years old when the family moved to California. She received her education in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Janice accepted Christ at an early age. She was a spiritual woman who believed in God and Jesus Christ.

Janice enjoyed the interaction with family and friends. She loved
cooking for her family and friends; she was loved most of all for her delicious mixed greens. She enjoyed life and found pleasure in playing the Lotto and taking bus trips to Las Vegas when she could.

On December 17, 2018, at Carehouse, Santa Ana, CA, Janice
was called home to be with the Lord. Those who preceded Janice in death were her parents Helen Chris and Hayward Liggins Jr., husband Leroy Maxwell, sister Casarine Bates, son Sean Liggins, best friends Dorothy Hayes (Punchie), and Doris White (Butter).

She leaves to cherish her memories daughters: Denise Maxwell, Monica King, Kysha Hamilton, LaShawn Hamilton Brown, and Tenesha Timmons Masaitis; son Eric Maxwell, two brothers: Reginald Evans, and Larry Evans (Ruth); two sons-in-law that she loved dearly Oscar Brown and Darly Winston, fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
