In Loving Memory of Jerry A. White
May 21, 1964 - December 12, 2018
Jerry Anthony White was born to the proud parents of Earnest White and Annie Nelson (White) on May 21, 1964, in Los Angeles California. He was the second eldest of five children. Ernest White Sr. preceded Jerry in death when he was a very young child, Annie later remarried Robert Nelson who raised Jerry and his siblings as his own. Robert Nelson has also preceded Jerry in death.
Jerry obtained his education through the Compton Unified School District where he graduated from Compton High School in 1982. Soon after graduation, he went on to establish a career at Northrop Grumman where he was a dedicated employee for over 10 years. Throughout the years, Jerry worked numerous jobs before establishing employment with Compton Unified School District as a Plant Worker where he was currently employed. He also had side ventures with Uber and Lyft.
Jerry was a member of Greater Mt. Sinai MBC of Compton where his dear dedicated childhood friend Rev. Kalvin E. Cressel Sr. is the Pastor.
Most people describe Jerry as a gentle giant with a mild-mannered disposition. He always joked around and made people laugh. He also loved to play dominoes; this was when Jerry was the most serious, he never wanted to lose. The same went for his favorite team, "Dem Boys," The Dallas Cowboys. He was a true fan, and of course, his favorite color was Blue. He was enjoyable, and his smile along with his laughter was a joy in itself. He had so much love and admiration for his children. Everyone that he crossed paths with had something good to share about him.
Jerry joined Gods Army on December 12, 2018. His wonderful memories will forever be cherished in the lives of his mother Annie Nelson, his three children: Christopher, Jeremiah, and Laniah; three brothers: Jerome, Ernest (Lakybra), and Anthony (Trudy) his only sister Tammy (Donnie), two uncles: Nathanial, and Ira Lee; five aunts: Phyllis Baker, Patricia White, Catherine, Ethalene, and Mary Scott; six nieces, two great-nieces, nine nephews, and five great-nephews; as well as a host of devoted cousins, family and friends.
