In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Ruth Cain
January 11, 1951 - November 15, 2018
Elizabeth Ruth Cain, (known to all as Ruthie) was born in Los Angeles, California on a cool January morning on the 11th, in the year of 1951, to Elizabeth Ruth and James Gibbs, both preceded her in death.
Her young parents had a tumultuous relationship, what with her father enlisted in the military and her mother establishing a home. Due to difficulties among her parents, Elizabeth was raised by her grandmother, Berniece Green, along with her young uncles, including Samuel. Samuel proved to be an excellent uncle, taking Elizabeth with him to roller skate and other outings. Samuel later began a car club, featuring Chevrolet Corvairs, and took his niece along, needless to say, she favored her uncle/big brother. Elizabeth also shared a closeness with her aunt, Patricia, and her children. And cousin Laurie was her ace Elizabeth was also a great athlete, participating in the Los Angeles Park and Recreations Ping Pong regional championship.
Elizabeth had her only child, Anthonis, and decided to move on her own eventually. She proved to be an excellent, caring and strong young mother, highly spirited, mature beyond her age. An attractive woman, Elizabeth was cautious of the men she allowed into her and her son's life. She met her future husband, Joe, and accepted him into her life. She and her family went on to live a happy life, where she reunited with her parents with whom she spent quality time. For years she spent the day with her mom "investigating" the cities of Southern California.
Elizabeth was unfortunately struck by a series of illnesses, including cancer, which she met and fought off as a result of her extraordinary will and spirit, all the while continuing to enjoy and support her family, laughing and loving.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory, husband Joe, and son, Anthonis Sr. "Tony" to look over her nine grandchildren, Marquis, Arlese, Rosemary, Stephan, Anthonis Jr., Sebastian, Giovanni and Tiara, and a lot of great-grandchildren and some lifelong friends.
THE FATHER, marveling at her tenacity and capacity to inspire and love, gave her 18 years more time on Earth, but finally called his exceptional creation to be with him, to rest and to be by his side, as she had left a lasting legacy. Her family is confident that THE FATHER gave her a glorious pair of shoes, as he knew how much she loves to dance. All praises.
