Betty Jo Howard was born October 7, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas to Hudson Wallace and Ruthie Dee Wallace, she was the first of four children.
Betty received her education attending 109th Street School, 99th Street Elementary, Gompers Junior High, Charles Drew Junior High and graduated from Fremont High School. Betty went to Bryman College for Dental Assistant.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. She attended Greater New Light Baptist Church and Faithful Central Bible Church.
During the summer of 1964, Betty met David Nelson Howard, and by August 3, 1967, they were married. To this union, two children were born: Lindsay Danielle, and Kevin David. Betty and David shared 45 years of marriage.
Betty worked for Delta Dental as a Customer Service Insurance Representative for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, music, movies, family time, collecting pictures, horse races, and she loved her plants. She was a funny, loving down-to-earth person; she was very smart and loved learning new things. There was nothing you couldn't talk to her about, but be prepared to hear what she felt about it LOL. As a mother, she made sure she put her children first. She had a beautiful mind, with an imagination that was one of a kind. A woman of many quotes!
Those who preceded her in death were her father, Hudson Wallace, her mother Ruthie Dee Wallace and husband David Nelson Howard.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughter, Lindsay Howard, and son Kevin Howard, siblings: Debra (Tommy) Bowden, Sylvia (Stanley) Premmer, and George Wallace. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
