In Loving Memory of Bruce Edward Washington

April 24, 1949 - May 26, 2018

Bruce Edward Washington was born on April 24, 1949, to the proud parents, LeeAnner and Charlie Washington.  He was the third of six children. He received his education through the Los Angeles Unified School District. After High School, Bruce went to the Military (which branch) and served many years fighting for our country. He also dedicated several years as a National
Guard.

After his discharge from the service, he pursued a career as a Mechanic working alongside his father, Charlie.  Bruce was great with his hands; he loved to cook, always inviting family over for dinner. Gardening was another hobby; he made sure the yard was well kept. Bruce was very organized and loved to write. He was a loving, and very giving person, who was always kind to others; he also was responsible for helping raise many children.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, LeeAnner Washington, his father, Charlie Washington, three brothers: Frank, Anthony, and Milton Washington. Bruce leaves to cherish memories his life partner, Shirley Dorsey, sister, Wajeedah "Ruby Lee," brother, Michael Washington, son, Bruce Washington Jr., daughter, Shahontas Washington, step-daughter,  Gwendolyn Green, grandchildren: LaChauntis, Ashauntis, Renell, Heather, Jennifer, and Arsena; fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
