Zenobia Burnett was born January 11, 1928, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Arthur Smith and Alma Smith. She was the 2nd of 9 children. Zenobia was raised in Los Angeles and was educated in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Zenobia accepted Christ at an early age. She attended First New Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member for over 30 years. She was on the Mother's Board, General Mission and sang in the Choir.
Zenobia met and married Willie Bennett, they had four children: Gloria, Elbert, Willie Jr., and Antoinette. Zenobia and William shared 30 years of marriage.
Zenobia enjoyed watching TV, cooking and loved family gatherings. "Zee" as she was affectionately called had a pure and loving heart. She always could tell you stories of the old days and could keep you current on all the new family news. Zenobia was a great family historian. She was beloved by all.
Zenobia was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Smith, mother, Alma Smith, husband, Willie Burnett, sons, Willie Burnett Jr., and Elbert Burnett; granddaughter, Tiahni Chargois.
Zenobia leaves to cherish her precious memories, children, Gloria Burnett and Antoinette Burnett; sisters: Bunny Hawkins, Barbara Adams, and Jimmie Lewis; brothers: Billie Smith, Ferguson Smith, and Rudolph Smith; grandchildren: Tamiqua Chargois, LaTasha Burnett, Tryon Burnett, and Janice Burnett; great-grandchildren: Jarleigh, Jaron, Tehya, Donja, Donnese, and Makai; and a special friend, Willa Warren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
