In Loving Memory of Bettie Jean Bradley

March 24, 1935 - April 10, 2018

Bettie Jean Bardley was born on March 24, 1935, in Warren, Arkansas to the late Ema Lee Daniels and the Late Prince Lyons.

She was the eldest of 10 children in which she took pride in helping take care of. She attended Bradley County High School and shortly after graduation she married James Bardley Jr. and moved to California.

She went to school for business and there on went to work for Hollywood Accessories, a manufacturing company for automotive parts. From there she became an international union representative where she traveled internationally and domestically and retired in 1989. She also worked to make her community a better place.

Bettie was a very selfless and caring person. She loved to travel and learn new things. Her heart was filled with so much love and generosity. She was a very motivated person who loved giving advice to others. Because of her nurturing soul, she dedicated her time to raising three of her great-grandchildren, Kamaisha, Shamera and Kya-Mya. She impacted many lives during her 83 years here.

On April 10, 2018, Bettie was called home. Those who preceded her in death were a daughter, Dinia Bardley Matlock, brother, Wilbert "Buck" King, sisters, Lee Ethel Russell, and Ozella Daniels, grandsons, Jerome Alexander, and Jimmy Bardley Jr.

Those she leaves to mourn her are children: Janet Bardley Alexander (Nobel) of Los Angeles, California, Florence Bardley Zinzun of Pasadena, California, Jimmy Bardley (Lawanda) of Flordia, Michael Bardley (Allen) of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; sisters: Jane "Novella" Payton (Eddie) of Arkansas, Geneva Stewart of Texas, Maxine Rainey (John) of Florida, Brenda Moore (Charles) of Arkansas, Kathy Jones of Arkansas; and brother, Ricky Jones of Arkansas. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and friends. Bettie will forever be in the hearts of her family and friends.
